Narvarog (US) — Fury and Triumph — 2021

The second release from this US trio. This is a lofi black metal act but quite melodic while also showcasing some folk melodies. Clearly a big step up from the debut, with a better structured songwriting and a fuller atmosphere. There is something marvellous in the vocalist’s capabilities, that transmits such a power to the music, the guitar also gives some help and is quite remarkable, but the vocals overshadow everything else. Not really a bad thing, honestly, since they are so good. Reeking of stoic spirit, it draws the listener to battle, to his ultimate demise.
