Horseless Artillery (1914-1918)

Horseless Artillery. Location of events unknown. Shot of a chain of 2-wheeled artillery carriages hooked together w/ British soldiers riding on each; & signs ’Wanted Fighting Men’. The vehicle in front; another 2 wheeled thing with nobody on it & no seat for them to be on; is supposed to be filling in for the horses: it has reins stretching back to the 1st man. In first shot the whole thing rolls down hill to right. But then there’s a shot of it driving uphill toward camera; so obviously it is some sort of working tractor. MS soldier holding the reins pulls on 1 side; then other; causing the fake horse to turn left or right. (Looks like motorised gun carrier - SL). Technology. Inventions; military vehicles.
