“Into the wild with Bill“ Epic Backpack Camping Primitive Forest (ASMR) New Firebox Freestyle Stove
What a trip! Bill is quite a character! Lol! His ears tell the whole story!
Our best in quite some time!
I’ve spent the better part of a month reframing footage and editing this long form trip video. My wife (Jessica) worked with me through the weekend, carefully watching, discussing, and tuning the final touches on this EPIC! Trip Show starring “Bill“ the goat!
If you’re wondering what made this trip “My best in quite some time!“ I guess it would come down to, challenge versus pay off.
This trip was so much work! Even getting ready for a trip like this is labor intensive. Then there’s the getting there. That first day I drove three hours before starting the off-road portion, which took at least three hours which we hiked eight or so miles in some of the most rugged, slow going conditions I’ve ever experienced. From well before sunrise to long past dark I was pushing hard, all day long! I slept very well every night! This pace went on for four days.
The pay off? To be in one of the most spectacular places on this planet, alone. I had the place to myself! No man made sounds or smells. No distractions... It was just me and my four-legged friends in this primitive untouched wild place, in its purest form. Everything my senses perceived was natural... directly from nature... directly part of nature. You know, the feeling you get when you allow yourself to “be“ in a place like this? Your physical self is there, but then you need to clear your head of distractions, and just “be“ a part of nature... Pure freedom. I think all the endorphins produced from my physical labors enhanced an already amazing experience. I also think that being focused on tasks keeps you from thinking about your life’s daily concerns. The work helps you enjoy the play. Working hard for something you love is very fulfilling.
I’ve found that the three activities that make me feel the freest, are: Adventure motorcycle riding, backcountry snowboarding, and backpacking into remote wilderness. All leave me quite exposed, right there in it. Not much between myself and the elements. That’s why it’s important to have good quality reliable gear, a well thought out plan, and a clear head.
I am an inventor who who creates the gear I need for my own adventures. I then offer these products to my beloved customers who seem to enjoy them as much as myself. My design philosophy is to provide for my needs as simply as possible, yet in a way which provides enjoyment of use, and promotes the true-to-camping ambience that made me fall in love with camping as a kid.
