ELEX COMBAT - Fighting a high level creature with Axe and Shield

Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to check out my first youtube vid! (apologies if I ramble a bit...) I discuss some basic combat tips in Elex when using a shield and one-handed weapon (both of which can be acquired early on). Normally high level enemies should be avoided, but fighting them is a great way to practice combat skills, and I just wanted to show that with some practice it is possible to defeat strong enemies at lower levels just using basic equipment and not relying on buffs or health potions to survive. The best way to maximize damage is to do combo’s, however when fighting a tough enemy it is dangerous as it leaves you open to attack and it only takes them a couple of hits to kill you. Just remember to quick-save (F5) beforehand! Correction: Because I have a “Heavy“ shield my heavy attack is more likely to knockdown an enemy than a light shield.
