The competition includes four categories: women, junior, youth, and adult. Each of which has its own championships, making it a high-profile event that serves as a “gateway for young jumpers.“ It brings many young jumpers to the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium to watch even though they don’t attend the event, dreaming of their future. The top two male and female jumpers in Japan have also won this event. Ryoyu Kobayashi won the boys’ division in 2015 when he was in high school, and Sara Takanashi won the event for the first time in 2011 when she was in junior high school. In 2020, the venue was moved from Miyanomori to Okurayama, bringing the Yukijirushi Megmilk Cup closer to the world. And, this year’s competition will once again produce new heroes and heroines, making their first step from the dream stage to the world.
