Hungary has a long tradition of agricultural flight. Long time ago Hungarian Air Service started spraying with old fixed wing aircrafts, helicopters arrived later, around 1970. The Air Service had a lot of Kamov Ka-26 helicopters, but after 1989 they sold them for small companies. Over the years Kamovs were getting older and older and the spare parts supply became complicated. Around 2005 a couple of company decided to change the Kamov Ka-26 for a modern type.
