Some of these shorts were used as interstitials in early television, when live shows might not be long enough to cover an hour. The show relied on amusing stock footage clips and Hawthorne’s patented droll, gag-laced, dry narration. This one shows footage of blindfold stunts on a skyscraper (:15), trained monkeys playing a piano and performing other stunts, (:49) people sliding on icy, windy streets probably in Chicago, at (1:23) a manned, pipe cleaning cart is shown. At (1:55) a spinning wheel is shown in use. At (2:03) a lit candle is shown followed by an hourglass and a clock that used water to track time. At (2:43) a ridiculous aircraft is shown.
