Scholz again pledges continued support for Kyiv, Tel Aviv at party conference

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz vowed to continue to support Ukraine and Israel when he spoke at the Social Democrat Party conference in Berlin on Saturday. The chancellor added he was “proud” of what his country had done for Ukraine and the almost one million refugees Germany took in. His message to Russian President Vladimir Putin was: “He should not and must not expect us to let up.“ Scholz also reiterated Germany’s support for Israel in his speech. A poll by German state broadcaster ARD released on Dec. 7 found only 14% of Germans support Scholz’s SPD and a record low. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
