Kovu ♥ Simba part 2 - There Will Be Time

Well, well, well… After a year of waiting it’s finally here! :’) First of all, thank you for your patience and all the encouraging comments! Credits are at the end of the video, please read them (and watch the video until the very end! ;) ) and read this description before asking any questions! Also, make sure to turn on subtitles, especially if you can’t hear what the characters are saying, or if you want to understand what the non-English lyrics mean! I think it’s worth it, it’s a really lovely song! Also, occasionally, I wrote into brackets what the characters are thinking, so you’ll have a better understanding of what is going on in this mess! :D Below, you’ll find an explanation of the storyline to help you out! I’m sorry that ultimately the song picking was pointless, since I chose a different song, but one of the biggest hurdles of this video was the fact that I just couldn’t find a song that fit and I liked enough. So we eventually ended up with this one. I hope that’s okay. Yes, it really did take a year on and off to make this video, and I will definitely not be making anything in the foreseeable future :D Regardless, I really enjoyed working on this, and I hope you will enjoy watching, and feel like it was worth the wait! Story: This video is a sequel to the previous one, but it also revisits time from before the previous video. You get some background into their lives as cubs. So let’s quickly recap what is going on: Kovu and Simba met when they were cubs. Simba was to become king, Kovu got adopted by Scar and brought into the Pridelands. Mufasa doesn’t really like Kovu, because he sees him as competition for Simba, and is also vary of the fact that Scar is raising him. He is afraid that maybe this is Scar’s way of somehow taking the throne from Simba. Eventually though Mufasa warms up to Kovu and is happy to see that him and Simba are becoming friends. Howeve, once something happens (I’ll leave that up to your imagination), Kovu almost gets Simba hurt/killed and Mufasa immediately thinks that this must have been his (and Scar’s) plan all along. So from then on, he does not allow Simba to be with Kovu and teaches him to think himself better than Kovu. This is the way they grow up. Then we get to the conflict of the previous video, in which an adult Kovu and Simba just love getting on each other’s nerves. Simba has feelings for Kovu, but is unsure of what to do about it, while Kovu is pretty much fed up with Simba’s ego and his inability to make a decision. But then Mufasa sends Kovu away, which is what chronologically starts this video. Simba runs after Kovu and after arguing, and a little nudge from Nala realizes that he’s ready to come out and face his father. So they run back to the Pridelands, Simba comes out to his dad, who is not surprised, really, and welcomes Kovu back to the pride. They all gather for a celebration of Kovu and Simba becoming the official future kings, and Nala also brings her date! :)))) The End (Also, Mufasa makes up with Scar, understanding that there was no evil plot, Scar simply saw that Kovu and Simba were in love, which is why he encouraged the whole thing.) Happy end! Story as it happens in the video: We begin with Simba asking Rafiki’s advice after Kovu ran away. 00:20 – flashback, when Kovu and Simba met, Mufasa liking Kovu 00:45 – Kovu getting banished, sad. Simba runs after him, and Rafiki helps them find each other. 01:12 – flashback, the cubs spending time with Mufasa, Scar, and Nala 01:38 – Simba remembering how nice their life was until that “thing” happened, after which Mufasa banned them from being together (after they grow up, this is pretty much where the previous video takes place!) 02:10 Simba debating what to do.. then goes home with Kovu 02:40 – random clips from their lives? 02:52 – Simba introduces him boyfriend to his father 03:02 – random clips, others being very proud of Kovu and Simba, them and Scar/Mufasa being happy 03:28 – end celebration!
