Insectarium - Refugee (abysmal dark ambient)

Lucifer did not want to be in an angelic herd. An eternity of worshipping God was a form of slavery. It was a dictatorship and Lucifer craved independence. Lucifer wanted to be treated as an equal. There was a bond between the two which is beyond human understanding. Yet they could not accept each other’s opposing views. God saw Lucifer as a wonderful and powerful being and grew concerned about Lucifer’s influence on the angelic beings. God attempted to corral Lucifer back into the fold but he failed. The two met on the edge of existence. As Lucifer approached the edge and looked upon the vast emptiness, God pushed him from the cliff. God told the angels that Lucifer was cast out and to turn away from Lucifer’s ideals. Lucifer was betrayed and was forced from his domain. He fell into the pit of nothingness, left alone in despair. God thought he had ridden himself of his adversary. Yet deep in the darkness, Lucifer’s passion began to burn brighter and brighter. Over the eons, Lucifer’s power grew. A third of God’s angelic host took notice, and turned to Lucifer with the desire for their own independence. As humankind began to take form, Lucifer emerged with a plan to start his revenge.
