Istanbul: Capital of Cats

Turkey’s Istanbul metropolis is probably the most cat-friendly city in the world. Cats were brought to Istanbul centuries ago which is a historical port for international trade. Today, Istanbul hosts lots of stray cats on its streets. The city’s human residents feel responsible for taking care of them. With so many happy stray cats living outside, Istanbul is seen as capital of cats.
