Negar Bouban playing Parviz Meshkatian’s Sama’e Ava
yet another Persian Classical piece, adapted for the Oud
from Persian Santour repertoire:
Parviz Meshkatian’s “Sama’e Ava“ (in Shour)
As a project to expand the beauty of the repertoire and make pieces sound “Oudier“,
Here will come a series of adaptations of pieces from Persian Classical/Dastgah music that were originally written for or improvised on other instruments; mainly Tar and Santour; but occasionally even violin!
The adaptations for oud are first played and recorded, (and posted here) to later work as complimentary learning material as well, with a collection of sheet-music, plus exercises to prepare the interested oud player for each piece.
