Luftwaffe’s Pandemic Airbus arrives in Italy

In March 2020, the NATO government of Italy was in panic mode due to what it said was a massive outbreak of ’pandemic’. Crying that its hospitals were overwhelmed, Italy asked for help from other NATO members. NATO-Germany responded by sending its fliegendes Krankenhaus (flying hospital), an Airbus A310 MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport) StratAirMedEvac, not once but twice to the city of Bergamo (on the 28th and 29th of March). In total a whopping 12 people were flown to hospitals (Krankenhäuser) in Germany! But wait, there’s more, also on the 29th the Luftwaffe’s A310 flew to NATO-France where a whopping two people were taken to a Krankenhaus in Germany! Video was released by NATO on 03APR2020. In June 2022, the Luftwaffe retired the last of its A310 MRTT aircraft.
