The song was performed for the first time in 1989 on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo, under the title “Kosovo Cries“, and was published thanks to protodeacon Vlad Mikić and Radomir Perčević, on an audio cassette under the publishing house Glas Crkva.
