Appledash [SFM]

I am actually very surprised by the response to this video. Was expecting more of a split due to the mushy stuff and immediate negativity to shipping by some. Seeing people look past that and see the video as a whole is something that truly astonishes me and I thank you all for being so open-minded. This fandom is awesome. /) WARNING: Contains shipping. If that isn’t your thing, then don’t bother watching and keep your comments to yourself. I like the /romantic/ implementations and this is the furthest I would ever go down that road and will probably the be only time I will. If you want XXX stuff, you won’t find it here and don’t bother asking. Haven’t tried romance, so thought, why not? There is a very heavy use of particle effects, lighting, and modified map fog. The video only took around 6-7 hours to make, but took 2 weeks to get it uploaded due to lighting glitches with the particles and having the render take nearly 24 hours due to the shear number of particles (one shot had ~18k grass “particles“). The idea started as just recreating in SFM the picture linked below, then was going to be an animated GIF of the scene, and moved on to a full video. The song was picked after the entire scene was put together and then just made up a story to fit it. Like I normally do, there was no plan; just pushed ponies around until something decent came out. I feel I severely under-animated this, but the moving particles, camera and wind effects hide that.
