M7B1 Priest recovering a recovery Scammell Pioneer (D-DAY 80)

Here we can see an M7B1 Howitzer Motor Carriage, aka “Priest“ towing a Scammell Pioneer. The M7 Priest was used by US Army during WW2 while the Scammell was used by British Army. Both vehicles were fully restored, with their genuine engine: V8 Ford GAA for the Priest and 6 cylinder Gardner for the recovery truck. Both vehicles were seen at the Dog Green Camp in Vierville-sur-Mer, France, during the 80th Anniversary of D-DAY.
