Making fresh mozzarella, pesto and sourdough to make the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich. After making the sourdough and mozzarella, it was time to make the pesto. Here’s what I put in:
2 cups fresh basil
1/4 cup sharp white cheddar cheese
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup pine nuts
3 cloves garlic peeled
1/4 tsp salt
Ballerina Farm seasoning to taste
Juice from 1/2 of lemon 🍋
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more olive oil if necessary.
For the sandwiches! Sourdough bread, fresh mozzarella and then your pesto. Just seer them in a hot skillet with butter until the cheese is melted... then ENJOY 💫
