ME312_Lab4: Viscosity and Faraday Waves

BYU ME312: Fluid Mechanics - LAB 4 We induced non-linear standing waves into a mixture of cornstarch and water. These are called faraday waves. We used a frequency generator, an audio amplifier, and a subwoofer to create the vibrations. We wanted to know if the wave patterns were a function of viscosity, this video shows the results of our quick experiment.
