1kW Philips EL6471 Tube Amplifier from 1955 demonstrates its original sound - listen!

Surprisingly the amplifier reproduces a transparent and dry sound and seems to have little distortion and good damping. The speaker connected is a 15inch Eminence 250W in a two-way bassreflex assembly. Therefore it was only possible to make the test at lower power, only as much as to get some reaction to the currentmeter - but that gave almost very high sound pressure. I´ve chosen soft music, not organ, for the infrasonic bursts would destroy the speaker. The camera-microfone has very poor quality, poor dynamic range and is overloading - this is not amplifier-distortion! More details: F/EL6471 1kW
