Classic Toys - “Gilbert’s The Wing Thing“ - 1963

Yet another really cool toy. Just like a miniature 1970s Hang Glider, this is how the space program originally envisioned it’s capsules descending back to Earth, after entering the atmosphere. Not sure how long Gilbert produced this toy, but they are of course most famous for their “Erector Sets“, of which millions were produced in the 1950s, ’60s, & ’70s.
