Papercraft head model process (+free PDF download)

PDF download: I wanted a papercraft planes of the head model as an art reference (à la Loomis or Asaro head). It would have been much cheaper (in terms of time spent) to just buy one, but that’s DIY for you. To use the file: print out the PDF onto Letter size cardstock. Cut along solid lines, fold the mountain and valley folds appropriately, and glue the numbered areas together. For easier construction, do the finicky pieces (Eyes, ears, nose, lips) before you attach them to the larger pieces. I had to dump the first try because 3d modelling software allows flat planes to be less than flat, and Pepakura Designer 4 does funky stuff with trying to make that work with paper. So I opened the model in Blender and divided any problem planes. Many more problems were noticed and fixed after I made my head, so the downloadable version will be less warped than the one you see in the video. I used 1
