Tommy Sands, born August 27, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, is an American pop / rock singer and actor. Sands parents worked in entertainment industry. His break came with a role in a TV movie. From the movie was released the single “Teen-age Crush“ (1957), which became a big hit. Some other hits with him was “Call My Phone“, “Goin ’Steady“ (both 1957), “Sing Boy Sing“ (1958) and “The worryin’ Kind“ (1958).
