Libya’s UN ambassador urges for vote against Israeli occupation

“History will remember those countries which have taken a principled, a moral, a legal or humane stance, and it will also remember those who had their humanity in deep coma and were aware and deliberately participated in this live-broadcasted atrocity, especially the 21st century holocaust, the holocaust of Gaza.“ Libya’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Taher al-Sunni, urged countries to leave their “double standards” and adopt a “moral” and “legal” stance by voting in favour of the UN General Assembly’s demands for Israel to end its “unlawful presence in the occupied Palestinian territory“. He criticised the Israeli ambassador, describing him as a “clown performing in a show, disconnected from reality,” and questioned whether he saw the UN assembly “as a circus“.
