Prague, CZECHOSLOVAKIA - 1993 World Figure Skating Championships, Men’s Free Skate - This was the first season where the ISU held a Qualifying Round at Worlds. Although it did not counted toward the overall placements at the time, only the Top 12 from each of the 2 Qualifying Groups would advance to the Technical Program portion of the competition. Aleksei Urmanov of Russia placed 3rd in the Free Skate to win the Bronze Medal here.
