BELGRADE: SERB WARLORD ARKAN SHOT & WOUNDED

Serbo-Croat/Nat The Serb Warlord Arkan has been shot and badly wounded in a gun battle at Belgrade’s Inter-Continental Hotel. It’s believed he was shot in the eye during an exchange of fire that left one man dead and two others wounded. Police have now blocked the entrance to the hotel. Arkan - who’s real name is Zeljko Raznatovic - led the Serb paramilitary group, the Tigers, during the Bosnian and Croatian wars.
