Penny Mordaunt challenged Angela Rayner over Labour’s credibility on defence in a general election TV debate on Friday night. The two women also clashed over tax and Labour’s flagship green policy: the creation of national utilities firm GB Energy. Nigel Farage who appeared for Reform after becoming leader earlier this week challenged the other politicians on immigration and net zero policies.
