Soya chilli, also known as soybean chili, is a popular vegetarian or vegan dish that is typically served in Asian cuisine, particularly in Indian and Chinese restaurants. It’s made from textured soy protein.

Ingredients quantity
Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Green chilli chopped 2 no
Green chilli slit 4 no
Capsicum diced 1 no
Onion diced 1 no
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Soya sauce 3 tsp
Green chilli sauce 1½ tbsp
Red chilli sauce 2 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Soya soaked 1 cup
Spring onion chopped 2 tbsp
Method
Soak for soya in warm water either than boil in hot water. Then stain the water. Put back in water because soya became soft.
Heat oil in a kadhai on medium flame. Add garlic, ginger and sauté.
Now add green chilli chopped, green chilli slit and sauté.
Add capsicum, onion, salt and tossed for 2 minute.
Add black pepper, soya sauce, green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar, red chilli powder and mix.
Now add soaked soya and stir to cook properly.
Finally add green onions and take out in a serving bowl.
Garnish with spring onion. Serve hot and spicy soya chilli.
