Lev Russov (1926-1987). Painting. The Leningrad School. Part 1

Lev Alexandrovich Russov was born January 31, 1926 in Leningrad. In 1947 Russov graduated from Tavricheskaya Art School. In 1948-1949 Russov continued his studies in the Repin Institute of Arts where he was a pupil of Yuri Neprintsev and Genrikh Pavlovsky. Since 1954 Russov has participated in Art Exhibitions. He painted portraits, genre scenes and historical paintings, still-lifes, worked as graphic artist and in wood sculpture. Russov was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1955. He died in L
