Longhorn Fab Shop | The Rotator Engine Stand | Rotating Caterpillar C15 | Continued testing
Continued lifecycle testing, long rotations and direction switches.
The Rotator has been designed and built by Longhorn Fab Shop in order to aid in the assembly and disassembly of engines and production parts. The shaft is 3 inches in diameter, supported by 12,000 pound bearings, and attached to a gearbox that generates 3380 ft-lbs of torque with integrated DC injection and magnetic braking for complete control of the large assemblies. It is foot pedal operated with adjustable speed and reversible direction. Boasting 8 casters housed and protected by the 3/8“ thick steel legs, the unit glides across uneven floors with ease and are rated in total for 8,000 lbs.
This production machine is only available through Longhorn Fab Shop and hopes to capture industries looking to assemble safer, quicker, and more ergonomic than with their current methods. Longhorn Fab Shop
