Displaced Palestinian man builds tent using Israeli missile remnants

A displaced Palestinian living in Khan Younis has built himself a tent using discarded Israeli missile parts. Abu Taysir Miqdad’s home was destroyed, and he and his family moved first to Rafah, then to Khan Younis. He found some nearby land and set to work, scavenging metal poles, missile parts and other discarded equipment, and built a shelter. Abu describes building his makeshift home as having ‘created something out of the enemy’s remains,’ even building an oven from missile fragments, and says that during construction he didn’t think of anything except to ‘keep working constantly.’
