Delhi warns Wikipedia in Asian International News agency defamation case

The Delhi High Court has threatened to ban Wikipedia over a defamation case involving the Asian News International (ANI) media agency. The court issued a contempt notice due to Wikipedia’s failure to disclose information about accounts that edited ANI’s Wiki page. RT spoke with an Indian Supreme Court lawyer and a Tech and Data Law expert Khushbu Jain, who stated that companies operating in India must comply with local laws or face consequences.
