Ambassadeur 2500C (BFS Tuned) & Glass Rod: First Fish Caught after Reel Restoration

BFS Insider Info Here: After spending a fair amount of time (and I don’t want to think about how much money) - I finally stripped, cleaned and Bait Finesse System Super-Tuned my 1977 Abu Ambassadeur 2500C reel. I was already smitten by the looks and pedigree of this reel - so all it had to do was be even somewhat capable of catching a fish. Little did I know that tying on a (1/16th oz), 50mm (2“) suspension jerk bait would let me fire effortless casts all around the stream.
