Home to the largest collection of vintage trams anywhere in the UK, Crich Tramway village hosts their annual “Tram Day“ event, which sees almost all of the museum’s operational fleet running on the 1.3 mile demonstration line. The event also saw the display of a number of tramcars currently under restoration, including Newcastle No. 102, which is hoped to be running in the 2022 season, London County Council Tramways No. 1 and Blackpool No. 298, which first arrived at the museum in 2005, and is being rebuilt to her original 1937 condition.
Various trams from across the UK featured as part of the event, including a number from London, Blackpool and Leeds, as well as some international examples including Oporto Tramways No. 273 from Portugal and Berlin Tramways No. 223 006-4.
