Dizzy-Dive Land (1932)

Roller-coaster ride in America. Full title reads: “Over now, to Dizzy-dive Land. (Coasting on the Coney Island giant Switchback).“ Coney Island, United States of America. PLEASE NOTE: Pathe have been told that this is NOT Coney Island and this is in fact Airplane Coaster at Rye Playland USA. Both designed by Fred Church. M/S of Americans moving through a turnstile, they all look excited! M/S of people getting into the carriages of a roller-coaster. The roller-coaster begins to move and some of the fun seekers wave at the camera. More people pass through the turnstiles. Low angle shot of the roller coaster moving up the tracks. Screaming is heard. The camera follows the roller coaster ride. Good shots from above the ride and point of view shots from on board the ride. Looks pretty scary! C/U of the thrill seekers as the carriages return and stop. Some of the riders look a little dishevelled. A boy gets out of the last carriage saying: “Oh boy, let me out of here“.
