Modern beachcombers. River Thames, London. M/S of a group of people by the river Thames, they are all members of the Mudlarks’ Club who meet on Sundays to look for ancient relics amongst the stones at low tide. Various shots of the men and women sifting through the stones. C/U as a man picks up a piece of pottery, he takes it over to the founder of the club, Robin Green who examines it carefully and nods. Various shots as they continue to sort through the stones. C/U as a young man finds the bowl of a James I pipe. M/S as they walk up the bank afterwards.
