Friedrich Ragette. Architecture of the old Lebanon

I had this privilege in 2017 to meet Professor Ragette at his summer house in Callian South of France. Friedrich Ragette is one of the first architect who study the different typologie of the Lebanese traditional houses. At the American University of Beirut - AUB - he teaches several generation of the Lebanese architects. His book The Architecture of Lebanon is a reference for the history of the Lebanese architecture. This interview is a part of a book - Maisons du Liban - that resume the different period of the architecture of Lebanon since the Ottoman period until today.
