Medieval MMA Profights - Winterfest 3/7/2022

The Western Wolves are an up and coming Armoured Combat team. We compete in full contact steel fighting using blunted steel weaponry and participate in various types of fights including Buhurt (team fights), pro fighting (1 v 1 fights like MMA), weapon specific duelling, and mass battles. On top of that we will seek out other competition formats with the goal to further our member’s skill and knowledge of the medieval combat arts. We train weekly and run sessions for Armoured Combat Sports and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) at our dedicated gym in Ballarat. We are even running classes for KIDS with soft equipment every Friday. We participate in local tournaments and travel abroad, with some of our members having represented the Australia wearing the Green and Gold at the World Championships!
