Iditarod is a spiritual journey for DeeDee Jonrowe
After the most difficult year of her life, legendary Alaskan mushing favorite DeeDee Jonrowe needed this race. It was her therapy. Jonrowe lost her mother in July 2015 following the Sockeye Fire, which burned her home to the ground. Jonrowe said time spent on the trail this year gave her the opportunity to contemplate what is next for her. She said her future will certainly include the Iditarod.
