Whale Washed Ashore In USA Lner (1938)

Caparlis (sp?) Beach, United States of America. Various shots of a crowd of people gathered around a huge whale that has been washed ashore on a beach. Some men start cutting chunks out of it for whale meat (quite horrible to watch) and load the hunks onto a truck. After the body has been left for quite some time, men put old tyres and rags over the beached whale, pour petrol on and set fire to it. It looks pretty gruesome! FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
