76 year-old retired builder John Shipton’s tireless campaign to save his son, Julian Assange. How will he find the strength to keep going?With Julian facing a 175 year sentence, his family are confronting the prospect of losing him forever. With Julian’s health declining in a British maximum-security prison and American government prosecutors attempting to extradite him to face trial in the US , the clock is is a reminder of the global issues at stake, as well as an insight into the personal toll inflicted by the task of fighting for a cause bigger than oneself. People all over NZ can enjoy world class documentaries this June at the 17th annual Doc Edge Festival to be held online nationwide from Wednesday 1 June - Sunday 10 July with special one-off screenings of selected films in-theatres to be enjoyed in their full cinematic glory.
