In 1973, Prince Philip visited Australia in his role as president of the Australian Conservation Foundation.
He looked at various issues and different locations of environmental significance, including koala capture and release on Phillip Island.
The Duke of Edinburg was involved in more than 40 other Australian organisations and charities, including Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and the Rural Flying Doctor Service.
