Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo reveal how ’Poor Things’ roles made them feel

Hollywood stars Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo attended the premiere of Poor Things alongside their co-stars in London on Thursday 14 December. The black comedy fantasy film, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, focuses on Bella Baxter, a young Victorian woman who, after being crudely resurrected by a scientist following her suicide, runs off with a debauched lawyer. Speaking on the red carpet, Stone explained how she was “inspired” by her character Bella, who is “fascinated by every aspect that life has to offer”.
