French World War One troops use pontoon bridge on Meuse River near Verdun, France. French troops pilot pontoon boats down river. Boats are hooked together side to side with platform on top. Pontoons come to stop. M/S as men carry planks toward boats, putting them across outside boats. Crew walking off the pontoon barge, walking across the planks.
