Earth-Directed CME, Nov. 9. 2023. - Get Ready For Another Round of Geomagnetic Storming

An eruption on the Sun near center disk was observed beginning after 10:00 UTC (Nov 9, 2023). The long duration event only registered as a low level C-Class flare, however coronal dimming was evident, along with a full halo coronal mass ejection (CME). A passage past Earth is predicted for sometime on November 11th or into the 12th. Another round of geomagnetic storming may be possible. Aurora sky watchers should be prepared this weekend.
