Tens of thousands march in pro-democracy rallies in Myanmar
Tens of thousands of people across Myanmar are taking to the streets to protest a military coup – which saw the nation’s elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi detained and charged.
Despite the military claiming last week’s coup was for the good of the country, pro-democracy protests continue to spark in towns across the nation, with people demonstrating on bikes in Mandalay and 6,000 people joining a march in Chin State.
The Burma Human Rights Network’s Kyaw Win says Myanmar residents are frustrated and “enough is enough”.
