Roses are Red ~ Jimmy Lucas (1962)

There was a #JimmyLucas who recorded for NRC as country artist, but I think they are not the same problem. I do have one of his recordings I’ll be uploading shortly. This was a “knockoff“ of the #BobbyVinton hit, issued on Hit 19 and also on the #ModernSound LP, “My Coloring Book.“ Several well known artists recorded for #HitRecords under assumed names including #ConnieLanders, #RayStevens, #SandyPosey, #BuzzCason, and #BobbyRussell. Via software, #Polderbits, I have equalized these so they don’t sound “flat” as well as removing as much noise as possible. In some cases we know who the artists are on these “knockoffs,” and in some cases, it’s guesswork. If I know who it is performing, I’ll post it, and I most certainly welcome feedback! Oh, please note that my musical tastes are all over the place. I have a LOT of Southern Gospel that I’ll be uploading, but I also have a lot of 60’s rock, old country, stuff from the 20’s through the 50’s. You’re sure to find something you like! :D I appreciate the music publishers for allowing these little heard gems to stay on my channel. I’m not trying to make money here or step on anybody’s toes with copyright infringement. If there’s ever a problem with anything I upload, I will be more than happy to take it down. I’m a collector who has amassed close to 50,000 songs on my computer, and I like to share things that are not heard too often. I imagine the majority of what I post isn’t even on CD or any other digital format.
