However, this Netflix adaptation, with 2 distinct storylines and a focus on the Wesker family was for us the perfect occasion to unleash some new and twisted monsters. One thing that really stood out for us this season was the secondary role of the Zeroes (aka the infected). While still remaining frightening and dangerous, they are presented as victims of a global infection, allowing the story to focus on another type of transformation: animals. This brought our team to work on a wide range of monsters, from concept art to CFX. The Caterpillar was a colossal achievement made by our team, opening the entire season and setting the tone for the rest of the series. This massive creature coming out of the ground was first drawn by our concept artist Deak Ferrand, was then rendered in CG, and comped onto the plate to interact with Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska). Another new creature introduced in the show was the Spider, encountered by Jade in the underground tunnels. Similar to the Caterpillar, this monster featured some serious signs of infection like white pustules, and hazy eyes. Our artists crafted a complex rig to be able to animate the Spider as it crawls on the ceiling and attacks. Rodeo FX also worked on some iconic returning Resident Evil monsters such as the Tyrant and Cerberus. The latter was a careful combination of live-action footage of a Doberman, enhanced by our incredible team of CFX artists. As one of the main vendors on the show, it’s great to be able to explore different avenues: from environment and asset work like the boat and several sequences shot in CapTown, to giant, complex creatures and FX explosions. #ResidentEvilVFX #MovieVFX #ResidentEvil #ResidentEvil #ResidentEvilNetflixSeriesVFX #ResidentEvilNetflix Resident Evil VFX Resident Evil VFX Breakdown Resident Evil Resident Evil Netflix Series VFX Donate - Epic Action Hybrid Trailer Music Composed by Visit - Discount Code - RAJ10 Instagram: Twitter: Facebook: Share, Support, Subscribe!!!
