WildCare Today: Orphaned Baby Chipmunks in Care

These four baby chipmunks were found on a hiking trail, hypothermic and shivering. Their eyes still closed, they were much too young to be out of their natal den! We can’t know what happened to their home, or to their mother, but fortunately we were able to warm them up, hydrate them and save their lives. They will grow up at WildCare, learning how to be wild chipmunks, and when they are old enough, we will release them back to the wild.
