Saraswati | Figurative oil painting

It took me 3 months to paint this artwork. I studied a lot of scriptures to combine specific details of Saraswati Devi’s appearance with my vision because the most important things for me are personal experience and multicultural heritage. She wears red and white saries depending on the mood. I pictured her in red because her incarnation as wife of Brahma is very important for me. In that way, she is an ishtadev of Srimad Bhagavatam. In Kali Yuga she goes underground like the knowledge which nowadays is out of sight. That’s why I depicted her waist-deep in water. So to get her darshan as the knowledge we should go deeper in the search of the truth. The original size of the painting is 100x200 cm. Materials: acrylic and oil painting with silver leaves on linen canvas. Music: Shakti Loka “Saraswati“
