Execution of Gerhard Flesch - From Bestial NAZI Killer in Poland to Sadistic Torturer in Norway

Gerhard Flesch was born on the 8th of October 1909 in Posen, today’s Poznań, then part of the German Empire. After Germany lost the First World War, which ended on 11 November 1918, Poznań became a part of Poland and the Flesch family moved to Bavaria. Flesch then studied political science and law in Marburg and married Ursula Richter. The marriage produced two sons – Tilo and Udo. During the Second World War he would have another child – a daughter Gerd Reidun – whose mother was a certain Anneliese Zechmeister. On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. The same year Flesch joined the Nazi Party and in 1934 he became a member of the SS. In 1936 he joined the Gestapo and Reinhard Heydrich, its chief, gave him the task by to monitor religious sects in Germany.
